Beside, the visitor is in front of objects which are normally considered soft, elastic, deformable as in the case of Sack, here portrayed in a hard and non-elastic version. Also, this material, often used as a symbol of purity and detachment from the senses, becomes alive and fleshy, with veins that are perceived as live body veins thanks to the heavy pigmentation. Objects conceived to be in a closed domestic environment are presented in an open space, like furnitures jumped out of the houses; ‘out of place’ as suggested also by the seemingly causal (but aimingly confusing) placements of the works in space. Plunging into the methods and history of Italian creativity, the artist made different historical periods, projectual systems and ambits of interest, collapse one on top of the other. In the Medioeval age, most of the attention was given to the creation of public spaces while today Italian projectuality is mainly known for design and interior design. Past and present, prosaic and monumental, unique handycrafted pieces and multipliable products are opposite terms that, in these sculptures, at first clash then meet and melt together.
