Red Sniper is the results of collaboration between Kendell Geers and Patrick Codenys, an inter-disciplinary group whose aim is to develope a new philosophy of audio-visual interaction, where music and video arte move in complete autonomy and then come together again in a new form.

In prototype, presented at the Centre Pompidou in Paris in April 2003, the moving image is edited sonically, then the images is re-edited visually to fit the sound and finally the sounds are decontructed visually. There is a constant oscillation between television citations and their own work, white noise and body music.
Coproduced by TRANSART 2003 and Arte all’Arte, the perfomance piece Rhythm and Chaos is a natural evolution of the first work, and was presented in the programme at borgo Valsugana (TN). In comparison to Prototype, the number of screens has increased to three, and in addition to the videos, light also plays a role. Hidden behind the screens are very bright white lights, which alternate with the videos. The visual dimension is enriched with live images taken from staatellite channels and film clips. It is about history and the present, and ranges from themes such as pirnography to the drama of war, also citing amusing comic gags.
Attractive and repulsive at the same time, Rhithm an Caos plays on the will to decodify the virus of the visual language of television and cinema, in order to repropose it in a new form in all its crudeness. Image and sound compete with each other in a media battle. The spirit of the hacker is combined with the energy of the DJ, the sense of irony ofthe Marx brothers, the moral corruption of William Burroughs and the subersive will of Deleuze and Guattari.
