Buren chooses the Castello di Linari
for his work; a delicate but assertive game between colours and
references, cold and hot tones, a room upholstered in blue and white
stripes and one in yellow and white ones.
Two mirror-like rooms connected by a door in the centre, each one
with a window open on the landscape: a surreal contrast between
geometry and nature, interior and exterior beauty, which underline
and enhance each other. A work in a specific place, strongly characterised
both architecturally and historically, which succeeds in establishing
a dialogue with it.
