The tenth edition

For Arte all’Arte 10 all the curators who have worked on the event since its inception selected six artists amongst the 70 artists who have been involved in the event in the 9 years - excluding the artists featured in the event they organized.
The principle of the selection was to indicate who, in their view, have most fully expressed the spirit of Arte all’Arte through the art work designed previously for the project.
The six artists who obtained more assents by the curators are: Cai Guo-Qiang, Olafur Eliasson, Alberto Garutti, Anish Kapoor, Tobias Rehberger and Sislej Xhafa. These six artists have been invited for the tenth edition to produce a site-specific work for the towns of Buonconvento, Colle di Val d’Elsa, Montalcino, Poggibonsi, San Gimignano, Siena.
In the Arte all’Arte circuit in the provincia di Siena there are now two more permanent installations, previously designed for the 2004 edition, Antony Gormley in Poggibonsi, Luisa Rabbia in San Gimignano, Moataz Nasr and Tadashi Kawamata in Colle di Val d’Elsa.
Many of the curators of the previous editions of Arte all’Arte will attend the opening and will speak at Arte all’Arte 1-10 tales and stories.
Moreover the Association conceived a special project
“-a+a” (Luciano Pistoi) in Castello di Linari.
