| One
of the features of the works by Martin Creed is that of mixing
aspects of low and high culture, music and visual arts, performances
and installations. Once again, in this work all these elements
are combined in a unique installation "to listen to". For
his work Creed has taken advantage of the presence of the
city tower's bells, which besides being a medium for the transmission
and diffusion of important news, (weddings, deaths, births
but also danger), and functioning as an indicator of the flowing
of the time of the community (the religious and the working
time), is also a symbol and a reminder of the identity of
the city. Every day at 19.00 the church bells of the Duomo
and of Sant'Agostino will play a duet. |
